I’ve just completed phase 1 of the redesign of this blog. I’ve created a new header, messed around with the typography and colors a bit, added new social media icons and a Google custom search interface to make the blog searchable. I’ve got lots more work to do, including new posts to write, updating the ‘About Mark Tosczak’ page and other stuff. That will be coming soon. In the meantime, though, I’d appreciate any feedback and suggestions you might have on the redesign, or ideas about what to do next. Please leave a comment below if you’re so inclined.

Mark, overall I like the design a lot. I guess my big question is what’s your brand here? Is it “Mark”? Is it “tzk.com”? Or is it you? If it’s the last, I’d put the photo back up. If it’s the middle one, I’d make “tzk.com” bigger than the “Mark.”
Second, if you’re the brand (with apologies to Tom Peters), I’d think about adding your name to the tag line (“Mark Tosczak on PR, marketing. . . ) and then change the “about” to “about Mark” or “about me”
Well, you asked
Thanks, Charlie. Great points. I’ve been going back and forth about how much this is ‘about me’ and how much it’s about the posts. But I think I’m coming down on the side that a major reason for me to have the blog at all is personal branding, a la Tom Peters.
